Join Portland Parks & Recreation for volunteer days every 4th Thursday of the month to support stewardship efforts at Luuwit View Park!

Event Details

Please bring a reusable water bottle if you have one. Wear sturdy close-toed shoes and layers to dress for the weather, plus any snacks you want/need. 

Work looks and feels different for every body. We encourage volunteers to go at their own pace and take breaks to rest.

Keep yourself and your community safe and healthy - please stay home if you are sick. There will always be more opportunities to volunteer with us!

Site Accessibility

There are paved and non-paved surfaces at Luuwit View. Depending on the day and tasks, the surfaces to travel on may vary. 

There are ADA accessible restrooms on site. Many areas of the park have open exposure to the sun.

About the Park

Luuwit (pronounced loo-wit, is the Cowlitz name for Mt. St. Helens) View Park is a beautiful greenspace in NE Portland with many amenities for park visitors.

Bees are frequent visitors to this park! They are often found buzzing around flowers and in the grass. Bees are important beneficial pollinators. If you have a known allergy to bee stings, please let us know.
