Community Engagement

The Community Engagement (CE) Team, part of Community Relations, guides Portland Parks & Recreation's community engagement practices for all major projects, programs, and budgetary decisions. We ensure the bureau’s efforts are in alignment with the bureau's engagement protocols and policies and the City’s core values, with an emphasis on equity and anti-racism practices. Our work includes designing community engagement strategies and plans, facilitating meetings and events, and acting as connectors between the bureau and the community.
