Wilkes Park Tending Time

Description

Join Portland Parks & Recreation for volunteer days every second Tuesday of the month to support stewardship efforts at Wilkes Park and help us revive the pollinator patch and take care of the native plants at the park!

Event Details

Please bring a reusable water bottle if you have one. Wear sturdy close-toed shoes and layers to dress for the weather, plus any snacks you want/need.

Work looks and feels different for every body. We encourage volunteers to go at their own pace and take breaks to rest.

Keep yourself and your community safe and healthy - please stay home if you are sick. There will always be more opportunities to volunteer with us!

Site Accessibility

Activities may require bending, stooping, or kneeling close to the ground. There is an accessible restroom on-site. Some parts of the park have a paved, flat pathway.

Some trees provide shade, and other areas have full sun exposure.

If you have questions about the accessibility of the event, please email us. If you have an ADA accommodation request to be able to participate in this volunteer event, please use the 311 ADA Accommodation Request webpage.
