Project Description:
Join Portland Parks & Recreation and Friends of Rocky Butte to remove English ivy at this special east side park! Rocky Butte has a fascinating history and is home to so much native wildlife. We will be working in a steep area and will be removing tree ivy to protect this important tree canopy.
All tools and gloves will be provided. We will be working on steep, uneven ground so please wear closed toed, sturdy shoes that have good grip. Also, please dress for the weather, and bring a water bottle and snacks.
Please register ahead of time by selecting “respond” for an individual and “respond for a team” to register a team” to register more than one person. Children are not recommended for this site. This site is suitable for participants 16+ due to steep terrain.
Location description/accessibility: This event will require bending over and walking on uneven surfaces and navigating at steep slope. A portable restroom will be available at this site.
